Ardenwald Preschool creates a dynamic environment of mutual respect for one another through sharing, teamwork, and friendship. Every child is unique and capable of learning when provided with a variety of ways to see and understand during the learning process. Ardenwald lessons include games, dance, art, and music, as well as fine and gross motor activities. These engaging and immersive tools help students process the information in their own unique way.

A Day in the Life at Ardenwald
Below is an example of a day in the life at Ardenwald. We have created a welcoming environment that is loving, compassionate, and caring with a dedication to inspiring learning, patience, gratitude, friendship, focus, and joy. Our day is packed with games, exploration, creation, and the 3 Rs (reading, writing and arithmetic).
| 7:15 – 9:00 AM | Arrival time: free time for children and morning snack |
| 9:00 AM | Announcements and circle time |
| 9:45 AM | Table work: drawing, reading and writing |
| 10:15 AM | Games: indoor/outdoor and free playtime |
| 10:30 AM | Math time: math games and activities |
| 11:00 AM | Lunch and playtime |
| 12:00 PM | Class time: art and science |
| 1:30 PM | Quiet time: reading, and a nap, followed by a snack |
| 2:30 PM | Outdoor activities: scientific or creative |
| 4:15 PM | Healthy Snack |
| 4:30 – 6:00 PM | Clean-up for game time |
About Our Founder, Katie Bright
- Masters in Education and Early Child Development
- Teaching Certificate (K-8)
- 40+ years running a homeschool child care program in both Oregon and California
- Taught both private and public elementary school, preschool and summer programs, including athletic programs
- Experienced K – 5 homeschool consultant to parents wishing to homeschool their own children.
- Developed teaching curriculums for churches.
- Homeschooled her own children; both have masters degrees and fulfilling careers.
